NIWC Atlantic Integrates for USMC Expeditionary Units
240223-N-GB257-1004 N. Charleston, SC (February 23, 2024) NIWC Atlantic recently hosted leadership and representatives from Program Manager Advanced Amphibious Assault (PM AAA) and Ground Combat Element Division, Capabilities Development Directorate within Combat Development and Integration (CD&I). The focus of this visit was to see the first three completed Amphibious Combat Vehicle, Command (ACV-C) platforms that received the Communications Retrofit and Networking-On-the-Move (NOTM) engineering changes/upgrades. These three vehicles were delivered to NIWC Atlantic from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) in January 2024 and were quickly upgraded from the OEM's "As Built" configuration to the new, more capable design. These are intended to be fielded to 3rd Assault Amphibian (AA) Battalion by the end of March. (U.S. Navy photo by Joe Bullinger/Released
