NIWC Atlantic to Showcase Local School Robotics Teams

Several local schools will be showcasing their unique STEM capabilities through robotics demonstrations at the Eastern Defense Summit.

Several local schools will be showcasing their unique STEM capabilities through robotics demonstrations at the Eastern Defense Summit.
When:
Wednesday, Dec. 6 from 10:00 am-12:00 pm and 12:30 pm-2:30 pm

Charleston Area Convention Center, 5001 Coliseum Dr, North Charleston, SC 29418
Why:
The Eastern Defense Summit is one of the largest defense-focused events on the East Coast and brings together more than 1,800 government, military, academia and industry leaders to spark ideas, innovation, and solutions to our current and future national defense digital challenges. NIWC Atlantic invited local schools to demonstrate their robotics projects to a wide range of industry and government Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) leaders attending the Defense Summit. The interaction serves as networking and mentoring opportunity for students to receive on-the-spot feedback and career insight. NIWC Atlantic has a large and impactful STEM program throughout the Charleston tri-county reaching more than 43,000 students yearly.
