Navy Reserve Sailor Soars to New Heights Following in the Legacy of Women Trailblazers
Navy Intelligence Specialist 1st Class Petty Officer Sarah Redsicker, right, a native of Chili, New York and assigned as a Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) analyst for Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic’s Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP) team based in Charleston, South Carolina, poses with her partner of four years, ISC (Chief/E-7) Andrew Brooker, also a Reserve Sailor, and their son. In the past year, Redsicker has achieved many milestones, both personal professional, illustrating the dichotomy of service for Navy Reserve Sailors. Her achievements include being promoted, being awarded a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Award for her leadership and expertise within her field, reenlisting mid-flight aboard the U.S. Navy Blue Angels’ iconic “Fat Albert” C-130, and giving birth to a son, requiring her to balance the demands of motherhood with her robust military career.
